The Cova Tallada Kayak Tour is one of the most unforgettable experiences you can enjoy between Dénia and Jávea. Paddle beneath the spectacular cliffs of the Cabo de San Antonio Marine Reserve until you reach a sea cave where nature, history and crystal-clear waters come together in one of the Costa Blanca’s most remarkable settings.
Your adventure begins at Les Rotes Beach in Dénia, where our qualified guides will provide a short briefing covering kayaking techniques, safety procedures and the route before setting off.
After around twenty minutes of paddling along the dramatic coastline, you’ll arrive at the impressive entrance to Cova Tallada. Reaching the cave by sea makes this experience truly special, allowing you to discover one of Alicante’s most iconic natural landmarks from a unique perspective.
Explore the Interior of a Cave with Centuries of History
Once inside Cova Tallada, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a natural pool where you can relax and go snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters of the Cabo de San Antonio Marine Reserve, one of the Mediterranean’s most valuable protected marine areas.
The adventure continues with a guided visit inside the cave using headlamps, exploring its chambers and rock-cut galleries for approximately fifteen minutes.
Cova Tallada takes its name from the extraction of tosca stone, a type of limestone quarried here between the 12th and 14th centuries. This stone was widely used to build many historic buildings throughout the Marina Alta, making the cave a unique place where history and nature meet.

This tour is suitable for anyone with a normal level of fitness and requires no previous kayaking experience. ⚠️Please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance so that you can get to your activity calmly and smoothly.
You will have a maximum of 5 minutes waiting time as a courtesy. Once this time has elapsed, the guides will have to leave. Therefore, in the event that you do not arrive at the meeting point on time and notify us within 24 hours prior to the activity, there will be no refund, change of time or date.

⚠️Important: when you park your car in the public car park, only bring the essential things to the route, leave the rest in the car. From the car park to the meeting point there is a 10 minute (800 m) walk.

- Footwear suitable for aquatic activities, with foot support (NO FLIP-FLOPS)
- Swimwear or comfortable clothes
- Cap, sunglasses with fastening system and sun protection cream
- Towel and dry clothes to change into
- Hydration: water minimum of 1.5L
- Something light to eat: sandwich, snacks, fruit, and etc.
⚠️As a precaution measure, it is not recommended to bring your mobile phone to the activity, as the watertight jerry can does not guarantee total protection against salt water. The guides will take photos during the tour and we will send them to your whatsApp by link, once available. If you decide to bring your mobile phone, it will be at your own risk. In accordance with applicable regulations and requirements for active tourism companies in the Valencian Community, all participants must sign, prior to the start of the activity, the corresponding informed consent and image release form.
This document will be provided by the guides during the pre-activity briefing or by the reception staff, as appropriate.
Signing this document is a mandatory requirement to participate in the activity. If any participant chooses not to sign it, they will not be able to take part in the booked activity. This does not entitle the customer to a refund, date change, or conversion of the booking into a voucher, as it is a compulsory prerequisite for participation.
