Then, with the use of headlamps, you will enter the interior of the Cova Tallada to explore its rooms and corridors in a visit lasting approximately 15 minutes.
Finally, allow yourself a few more minutes to recharge your batteries, have lunch and enjoy the inviting shade of this magnificent site before returning to Les Rotes beach.
Cova Tallada, a cave with many secrets that you will want to contemplate with your own eyes
Situated at sea level, within the Cabo de San Antonio Marine Reserve and under the influence of the Montgó Natural Park, this is a cave, carved and created by man in the 12th – 14th centuries. It is made up of a natural part and an artificial part derived from the extraction of tosca stone, a calcareous rock that was used for local constructions of some buildings in the area, such as the Church of San Bartolomé in Jávea. It is divided into different rooms, some of which are dry, where you can see basins that store drips of fresh water.
