Do you dare to live an adrenaline-charged experience? El Cortao de las Peñas Via Ferrata in Fortuna (Murcia) is the newest and most challenging in the region, classified as K4. Unlike others, this ferrata consists almost entirely of traverse sections, with only two vertical sections: the start and the finish.

Along the route, we find a structure that will test our skill and endurance: steps separated between steps and ‘T’ of progression, which challenge us to find support on the rock, which, fortunately, is grateful and facilitates progress. In addition, three overhangs add an extra touch of excitement, with two light ones in traverse and a short one before the second bridge.

The route:

First part:
It starts with a fast vertical climb to a ledge, followed by a horizontal section to the right, ideal for the first technical challenges. This section, although challenging, has good holds. After resting on a wide ledge, we continue to the spectacular traverse ‘La Proa’, the most physically demanding, where the views and the sensation of verticality are unforgettable.
Second part:
It starts after crossing the first monkey bridge, with a horizontal section under a visor, slight ascents and a second bridge before reaching the summit. The final staircase leads to a small cave where you can enjoy incredible views of the mountain ranges of La Pila, El Corque and El Baño.
