Take home a magical souvenir with the Cova Tallada kayak trip
With our kayak route to the Cova Tallada you will not only enjoy a fantastic and refreshing itinerary, but you will also discover the wonderful secrets that are hidden inside this natural cavity in the cliffs between Dénia and Jávea.
Accessible both by land and by sea, we put at your disposal our two-seater and self-bailing kayaks so that you, your family and friends can be amazed by the beauty hidden in the Cova Tallada.
The route starts at Les Rotes beach, in Dénia, an area with small and quiet coves where our guides will instruct you on the use of the kayaks, as well as explaining the itinerary you will follow.
After 20 minutes of paddling, bordering the beautiful cliffs, in Alicante Aventura you will arrive at the Cova Tallada, passing under its incredible arches that will welcome you to all the treasures of the place.
First you will enjoy the most exterior part of the cave, a relaxing space with a natural pool at the foot of the cave itself that invites you to swim and snorkel in the surroundings of the Marine Reserve with its characteristic crystalline waters.
Then, with the use of headlamps, you will enter the interior of the Cova Tallada to explore its rooms and corridors in a visit lasting approximately 15 minutes.
Finally, allow yourself a few more minutes to recharge your batteries, have lunch and enjoy the inviting shade of this magnificent site before returning to Les Rotes beach.
Cova Tallada, a cave with many secrets that you will want to contemplate with your own eyes
Situated at sea level, within the Cabo de San Antonio Marine Reserve and under the influence of the Montgó Natural Park, this is a cave, carved and created by man in the 12th – 14th centuries. It is made up of a natural part and an artificial part derived from the extraction of tosca stone, a calcareous rock that was used for local constructions of some buildings in the area, such as the Church of San Bartolomé in Jávea. It is divided into different rooms, some of which are dry, where you can see basins that store drips of fresh water.
